FortenberryBees began working as an Apiary in July of 2019. Since 2019 we have expanded from our initial two hives to a current total of 13 hives.

FortenberryBees is a family operation with three generations of Fortenberry’s participating harvesting operation. During our most recent harvest there were Fortenberry’s, Shamblin’s, & Reilly’s all actively helping to harvest and bottle the honey. The ages of the workers ranged from 7 to 68, and while they didn’t participate in the honey harvesting operation Chris’ 2 year old twins looked on with fascination waiting for the day when they get to help out.
